Many people debate that the PC gaming is an industry in decline.
However recently figures have shown that the "PC games market continues to show surprisingly strong growth in the 2011, reaching a record $18.6 billion, representing overall growth of 15% over 2010. (Forbes, Gaudiosi. J)
I believe that the PC will far outlive any console and that it will still have a few surprises left in store for us all.
The PC provides it's users with the chance of much more content through open source games, allowing gamers to completely edit the game and create modifications to it (Mods). This sense of community that the PC provides really does make it in my eyes something that's unique.
Of course, there are a whole range of other reasons too. My biggest argument would be the fact that PC gaming feels much more authentic. You, the gamer, have a mouse and a keyboard which allows you so much more freedom than a console controller could offer provide.
What do you think? Will PC Gaming always be so popular?
